Each of the 5 winners will receive a ticket for themselves AND a ticket for an adult chaperone, (just like in the movie), to see ​Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway.

Win one of 5 Golden Tickets to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway!

In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka is looking for a child to take over his factory who exhibits positive attributes that will help change the world, just like he did. Willy Wonka chose Charlie because he was hard-working, kind, selfless, optimistic, and so much more! Broadway Bound Kids is looking for 5 students who exhibit traits like Charlie's. Each lucky student winner will also receive a chaperone ticket for the show, just like in the story!

Option 1: Getting to Know You (Written Submission)
A short description of who you are and why you deserve to be a Golden Ticket Winner.
  • Please tell us about yourself.  Your name, age, which city you live in, what you love to do with your free time, etc.  
  • Why do you want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway with us?
  • Wonka and his inventions brought joy to kids all over the world.   What are some of the ways that you bring joy to your family, friends and community?
  • Tell us why you deserve to win one of the 5 Golden Tickets.
To Submit Option 1: Copy and paste your text, or upload a document, into your contest entry form. 
400 words max.  Acceptable file types for upload: PDF or Word Document. Maximum file size: 1 MB.

Option 2: Continuing the Wonka Legacy
 (Video Submission)

Create a YouTube Video about a character from anywhere in the world who is up to the task of taking over Willy Wonka's magical chocolate factory.  
  • Playing the character you create, answer the following questions in a single video clip. (Perhaps your character has a specific type of voice, dialect, or costume.)
  • What is your name?
  • Where are you from?
  • What attributes do you exhibit, or past experiences have you had, that will help you run the greatest chocolate factory on earth?
  • How will you use the factory to help people, create a sense of community, and bring joy to others?
To Submit Option 2: Upload your video to YouTube, and include a link to your video in your contest entry form. Time Limit: 3 minutes

Official Rules and Regulations: Broadway Bound Kids’ Golden Ticket Contest

By entering this contest, both you and your legal guardian accept the official rules and regulations.

1. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to residents of the United States.  Entrants must be students enrolled in grades 4 through 8, in U.S. schools, as of Fall 2016.  Entrants may not enter more than one submission. Group submissions will not be considered. Entrants must have parental permission to enter the contest.  An adult or legal guardian 18 or over must accompany the minor to the show.  

2. SCHEDULE: Materials must be submitted by March 15, 2017. 

3. TERMS OF SUBMISSION: As conditions of entry into this contest, and by providing a submission, each entrant and entrant’s legal guardian:
• Grants permission for winning materials and winners' names to be posted on the Broadway Bound Kids website and in other Broadway Bound Kids social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and likeness via picture and/or video.
• Warrants and represents that her/his submission(s): (a) are original to the entrant and have been legally obtained and created, (b) do not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party, (c) have not been entered in or won previous contests or awards; and (d) have not been published previously in any medium. All submissions become property of Broadway Bound Kids.
• If selected, agrees to submit a picture of him/herself holding a Golden Ticket.

4. SELECTION OF WINNER:
• Five winners will be selected by a judging process that will evaluate each eligible entry. All winners are subject to verification, including without limitation, verification of eligibility and compliance with these official rules. If a winner cannot be verified, or if a winner is otherwise unable to accept their prize, prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate.
• 
Contest winners will be announced on social media.
• Winners’ legal guardians will be notified via email by March 30, 2017. A Golden Ticket will be sent via snail mail to winners postmarked no later than April 5, 2017. Winners will also be announced on 
Broadway Bound Kids' website.

6. PRIZES:  Each winner will receive a ticket for themselves and an adult of their choice to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway. The tickets are for the Saturday, April 15, 2017, 8:00 p.m. performance. Winners MUST be available to attend this performance.  Tickets will be distributed by a Broadway Bound Kids staff member on the day of the performance.  Winners will be notified of specific pick-up time and location.  The show takes place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 205 West 46th St., New York, NY‎.  Transportation and lodging will not be provided.  The show is approximately 2.5 hours in length.
